Steal Her Style: Viola Davis 2017 Oscar Awards

Check out how we recreated Viola Davis’ stunning Armani Prive gown from the 2017 Oscar Awards using convertible fashion

We were so happy to see Viola Davis get up on stage to claim her well earned Oscar for Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance alongside Denzel Washington in ‘Fences’. [insert clapping emoji] We knew we were in for a treat when Viola went up to give her acceptance speech and she definitely didn’t let us down. Her speech was powerful, moving, and emotional, paying tribute to the ordinary people.

“You know, there is one place that all the people with the greatest potential are gathered and that’s the graveyard. People ask me all the time — what kind of stories do you want to tell, Viola? And I say exhume those bodies. Exhume those stories — the stories of the people who dreamed big and never saw those dreams to fruition, people who fell in love and lost.” -V.D

Viola Davis has become known for her powerful and emotional acceptance speeches. Once Jimmy Kimmel got back up on stage after her speech, he joked “Viola Davis just won an Emmy for that acceptance speech!”

Of course, her Oscar dress had to match her bold beauty. Her flaming red dress was a custom made masterpiece from Armani Prive, and its probably our favorite look off the Oscar red carpet. The dress was sleek and daring, but not too daring that it would land Viola on the worst dressed list! The cold shoulders also make the dress super on trend and add the perfect touch of skin to make the dress just the right amount of sexy.

We loved Viola’s look so much that we decided to recreate her look with our multifunctional pieces. Scroll down to find out how to steal her style!
